It is so blatant now.
Yet they still don’t get it.
That even their own racism was created for them by the wealthy to keep them poor.
Will they ever get it?
The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.
Bezos is worth $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.
The people who need help are not the problem.
It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage
If you're upset about Jimmy Kimmel being "canceled," I'm sure you were just as furious when you heard about Joy Reid
and Tiffany Cross
or Amber Ruffin
or Karen Attiah
or Jemele Hill
Because Kimmel might still have a job if you were https://t.co/TsXeU4KzYN
Government is not business, should not be run “like a business.” It’s about public service and providing public goods that improve our collective welfare which wouldn’t be provided otherwise by the market. It should be efficient and ethical but concepts like profit don’t apply.
White people do not experience racism. Yall get bullied and I’m sure that sucks. But you cannot be a victim of a system your people created for the sole purpose of othering non-white people so that they can then subjugate and oppress them. Idk what to tell you.
You can't use the parks budget to redo your backyard.
You can't use the highway budget to repave your driveway.
You can't use the police budget to hire a personal security guard.
And rich people can't use our public school budget to pay for private school.
Say no to vouchers.
What we needed today was a President who evoked compassion for families, mourning for the lives lost, and a unified commitment to the safety of travelers.
Instead, what we experienced was a divisive, insensitive message, which lacked any factual basis for casting blame on DEI.
The message evoked racism, discrimination, and continued misunderstanding of the intent of initiatives that did not dismiss merit and excellence, but ensured that merit and excellence were not dismissed in non-white, non-male, non-heterosexual, differently-abled people.
We have a choice, America.
We can educate and elevate ourselves beyond this.
In doing so, we must cultivate and expect leadership that promotes dignity and creates an atmosphere for building the Beloved Community.
To recap, Trump:
-Forced out the FAA chief at Musk's insistence
-Imposed a hiring freeze that reportedly included air traffic controllers
-Fired the TSA head and gutted a key aviation safety committee
-Blamed the DCA crash on DEI
This is disastrous leadership.
Trump wants to cut the corporate tax rate to 15%. This would give...
-The 5 largest banks a $4.1B tax cut
-The 5 largest drug makers a $3.1B tax cut
-The 5 largest US oil companies a $2.5B tax cut
-The 5 largest grocery stores a $1.7B tax cut
Some populist, huh?
