This chart might look political, but it’s really about data science. The UK can rank great or poorly depending on the KPIs you choose. Our choice of data decides how we view reality.
hi @Betterhelpers , My son is 18 months old and on oxygen 24x7. I would like to take him to Rivermead. What sessions will we be able to attend? Do you have any sessions for children with additional needs?
@legalhackette@CommonsJustice I have just received grant of probate for my mother's estate 4 weeks to the day after completing the application. I had been expecting > 16 weeks so it was a positive surprise. There were some complexities but I did my best to ensure all calculations would stand up to scrutiny.
My 1 year old son is fed through a tube 3 x day and before each feed you need to pull out some of his stomach contents and test its pH to be sure that the tube has not moved to his bronchial system. It sounds worse than the reality. Interesting others' experiences are similar.
Before I had a stoma I found them terrifying, even disgusting.
The reality is totally different. It's easy to manage and at times I forget I've got it.
I wish I'd heard from someone before my op, to reassure me, so I was delighted to go on BBC News last night to talk about it.
@AudreySuffolk is one of my favourite tweeters. An equality lawyer who makes thoughtful and informative comments. #EDI must make a positive impact to equality not being mere corporate posturing.
Sorry to learn of the death of George Alagiah. My grandmother thought he was the most handsome man ever. Well into her eighties she could wax lyrical on his beauty for a good 5 minutes.
Have you ever noticed that the save icon is a floppy disk, even though they became obsolete twenty years ago?
That's called a "skeuomorph" - when something new takes on the appearance of what it replaced.
And once you start to look, they're everywhere...

@alexgsmith It depends what your goals are. If you want to hoover up as much funding as possible, you need a big story to sell. If you want to learn about users, you need to focus on getting your product out and validating your thinking. That's going to be incremental.
@LizMcG_emplaw IANAL but that sounds very interesting. Are employers confusing their own belief of how the Equality Act should work with the actual law or are they just not interested in equality?
@alexgsmith If you understand the topic, I agree, but sometimes I want the search activity to help me understand what I am looking for, when I don't fully understand myself yet.
