I had a look at daily cases of the 'UK variant' (B 1.1.7) using genome collection dates at #GISAID (https://t.co/xJBUIjfooG). Fig below depicts its frequency between Nov 1 and Dec 20 in England. Based on this, it is not obvious to me it is still going up in frequency.
