Why aren’t we a digital-forward #SRHR program?
80% of Madagascar’s population is rural; less than half has a phone and only 7% have internet access.
In this context, there’s no substitute for face-to-face, sustained, comprehensive sex ed delivered by trusted educators. #HIPs4FP
Interesting evidence re: the conditions that must be met for civic education to be effective: participatory pedagogy; frequency/intensity of involvement; quality of teachers/facilitators. All things @IYFtweets excels at facilitating in our programs for young ppl 😍
Young Experts: Tech for Health (YET4H) is inviting youth organisations working in Lower and Middle Income Countries (LMICs) to submit proposals for grants of 5000 CHF (Swiss Francs).

#ICFP2022 Last day, best day bc 40 youth-led orgs & networks are launching the first-ever youth-led global priority doc outlining a new vision for #AYSRHR + JUSTICE. So cool--this roadmap, "shows unity in young people's needs and values across the world"
Nothing will make you regret growing up in Texas more than attending an international conference on family planning (#ICFP2022) and learning about innovations in the provision of comprehensive sexuality education #CSE engaging communities in family planning #FP and repro health
Have been curious about this ever since she started shelling out cash. Very interesting, and some similar questions/reflections to what’s being discussed in the equitable youth partnership space.
@sherrienjeri_ and her @PublicPathways colleagues welcomed me to their lunch table when I was a lonely #ICFP2022 attendee on Sunday. And today, I got to see her present her amazing poster and work on youth-led #SRHR budgeting and monitoring!
🧵What do youth-led organizations want from #globaldev partners? Here's what they told us:
1. Value what young people bring to the table.
2. Make language/processes accessible to all.
3. Share power and communicate openly.
4. Leave something that lasts.

Good things to come in 2023 at the Global Forum for Adolescents and 1.8 Billion campaign. Happy to share space and ideas w/ peers from around the world today in setting the agenda.
Contrary to the face I'm making, this session was fun & creative, not scary! Here I am pitching a life map activity that could underscore the importance of a multi-sectoral, life course approach to adolescent health and wellbeing and allow people to connect thru storytelling :)
Great ideas on programming for the Global Forum on Adolescents at #ICFP2022 breakout
Here is a teaser😉

Tough forced choices that raised reflections on the importance of context, intersecting identities, and integrated approaches that involve a variety of stakeholders.
Great start to the day. We discussed which of these interventions we would choose and why: 1) train service providers vs 2) provide services to internally displaced persons vs 3) work with the Ministry of Ed. to integrate CSE in secondary schools.
