Nothing about trying to enforce immigration law requires this.

Enforcing our laws means deporting people with sympathetic stories but no strong claim to asylum.

It does not limit our ability to treat people humanely.

This is a choice.

@PunkyMantilla There are definitely some who get a power trip from culture wars rhetoric about “The Family” and “The Home.” Rigid gender roles give a sense of security and control.
