The poem Sex Without Love really deepened the thought of how polysemy and ambiguity can make each reader see the message of poem differently. We will have our own interpretations of different parts, for example "to make love" can mean different things. #ECL220

I think it is crazy that the crimson hand in "The Birthmark" manifested in Alymer so much that he even dreamed about it. Why did he marry her if the birthmark bothered him so much? #ECL220

I really liked "A Pair of Tickets" and the connection it had to the twin sisters and the author's Chinese identity. I also felt that the end left a mark on me how they all realized they have a piece of their mom in them.

I enjoyed reading the Norton introduction. It helped me understand how literature is giving you an experience you may not have in real life. For example, how it engages our emotions and all of our senses. It especially engages our imagination. #ECL220

I love watching the Crash Courses featuring John Green. I have found in previous classes that they have been a super helpful way to review/better understand information. I always found this to be an entertaining way to learn that engages you. #ECL220
