every irish person who’s not a 2020 leaving cert student calling us snowflakes but really they’re jealous because they wish that they didn’t have to do a leaving cert #LeavingCert2020 https://t.co/5HEdiOMIbv
@RoisinMurphy__ The arrogance of this comment is unreal. This was for the health and mental wellbeing of the students and their family’s. we missed 3 months of school. Nothing can work the same this year. Students can still sit exams if they wish to appeal their grade. Give up the moaning.
@DowdBob2 What is your issue bob. It doesn’t effect you. We chose this for the mental and physical health of us and our family members. Also, considering we lost 3 months of school I think you can relax with the moaning on Twitter about something that we, those involved, wanted.
#LeavingCert the majority of the people giving out about the cancellation are NOT students, most of us wanted a cancellation &are thrilled (that's backed up by the ISSU report). To the minority of students who are unhappy, I'm sorry and good luck to ye, I hope it works out 4 ye
@tweertweet@IrishMelissa This isn’t certain, we don’t know what the full idea is until the announcement tomorrow, hopefully the appeals can be sat earlier.
@6s_irl The people complaining now are mostly people to did their leaving cert years ago NOT in a pandemic and are saying how they would have hated it. The students who want to can still sit exams in August or around that time. The majority wanted this for mental and physical health
@JillShanahan2 Yes but you wouldn’t be starting college until later on anyway even if exams were still in July, it won’t make a difference we will all be starting college at the same time
