As the #mpox emergency continues, @AfricaCDC and WHO have released an updated Continental Response Plan focused on:
✔️ Controlling outbreaks
✔️ Expanding vaccination
✔️ Strengthening long-term resilience
Over 1 million vaccine doses have been delivered to 10 countries. Lab capacity and testing have been scaled up in the Democratic Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩, where the incidence of mpox remains high.

📉 Severe funding gaps

I would like to thank my friend @larrybrilliant for the humbling tribute he wrote.
