As devastating as this photo is, it should not exist. A drone was used to take this photo and it is illegal to use a drone at a wildfire (for the same reason it is illegal to fly a drone at an airport). It’s illegal because they have to ground manned aircraft which hinders the firefighting capabilities. Shame on you @KitKarzen you should know better. You’re part 107 certified.

I counted over 10 close calls of drones and aircraft yesterday. What happens if you hit an aircraft, then what do you do?
