I'm all about patience and grace.
As of now, my ~172 student roster has >750 missing assignments through the semester. Y'all want me to accept all late work, with no penalty, through the end of the semester, *and* keep my family-time boundaries and mental health?
Mkay.
It doesn't take much to be a great virtual teacher...
Just top notch tech, multiple devices, an understanding of every online resource, a spare room to turn into a classroom, professional lighting, mics, props, a production crew, the CGI team from Marvel studios... that's it.
I wonder if there are any therapists who will be offering a “teacher discount” this school year just in case my insurance doesn’t cover it?

@AbramLPhD @GaryRGrayJr Some community members may see us not being physically at work as not working....I could save $ not commuting but I like the company and focus time of being in a quiet classroom
@JayWamsted It becomes an equity issue when a family can’t afford high speed internet required to follow instruction (audio and visual input) as well as cache and output of their video. Some of my students are running off of their phone hotspot in the country.
