The Supreme Court delivers a unanimous decision striking down the federal prohibition on guns for people who regularly use marijuana.

Ali Danial Hemani is a man living in Texas that uses marijuana and seeks to legally own a firearm.

In a unanimous decision, the justices sided with , who successfully argued that a federal law prohibiting gun ownership by anyone who uses illegal drugs violates the Constitution.
Hemani is a duel citizen of the United States and Pakistan.

The same statute was used to prosecute Hunter Biden, who was convicted in 2018 in Wilmington, Delaware, of purchasing a gun while addicted to cocaine.
