Guatemala is a poor, dangerous country that everyone wants to leave.
This is a story we often hear in the United States. It's one narrative people of all opinions and politics can agree on. One side feels pity and… https://t.co/pnXGAFoQt8
I’m among the 2/3 of Americans who support a solution that allows Dreamers to stay and earn citizenship.@repnikema@SenatorWarnock@ossoff as your constituent, I am asking you to work toward a legislative solution for Dreamers. #Dreamers#HeretoStay https://t.co/tKond2lHAl
Just me... calling @verizon for the 5th time in 5 months to get a credit I was guaranteed when I bought the phone in August. Every agent I talked to agrees. Never solved.
This article and accompanying thread are so important! We have a few weeks left of this year and this Congress to pass much-needed immigration reform. There is bipartisan and (as these numbers show) Evangelical support to see positive movement in reforms!
Numbers don’t lie
@PastorBenMarsh highlights several data points in his @JournalNow case that pursuing immigration reforms this month wouldn’t just be morally right, it’d also be politically expedient for @SenThomTillis, @SenatorBurr & other GOP Senators https://t.co/dgbKkiPYk1
.@SenatorWarnock@ossoff Ten years have passed since DACA’s inception, and Dreamers still don’t have a viable permanent solution. It’s time for Congress to act.
New episode is up! This week
@SarahQuezada author of Love Undocumented talks with @AlexisBusetti about immigration in the US and her husband's immigration story. Listen at the link or on your favorite app.

@overnightprints Unbelievably bad experience. I order lots of prints through work. Latest one received error saying it didn't go through - no confirmation email. I reordered next day. Get shipping confirmation for both orders & now I'm to pay for duplicate order. Nope.
@HeatherTDay I have no words. But I want to respond to you. This isn't right. I have heard these flags are the new confederate flags, and I am seeing some truth in that.
This is wise
In the immigration debate, while I know there are some folks motivated by racism & xenophobic hate (their emails to me are not subtle), I find what's far more common is genuine misunderstanding, not malice
Presuming the worst is a great way to end a conversation
Been trying to deal with fraudulent charges on my @SunTrust account all day and apparently it's my responsibility to fix everything... What bank has worked well for you? I am opening a new account this week.
Important note: @POTUS still hasn’t actually raised the refugee ceiling
Under pressure, after shocking many by signing affirmation of Trump limit, White House now says he will…by May 15…but not necessarily to 62,500, as they committed in February
Pressure/prayers still needed
The discussion over vaccine passports highlights how many Americans presume a passport entitles a person to visit any country—because, until COVID, a US passport basically did
But most citizens of most countries would never be granted a visa to enter the US, & that’s not new…
Last week, my friend @SarahQuezada asked me for an update on what's happening at the US-Mexico border, particularly as it relates to unaccompanied children, & about the status of immigration legislation
I hope others might find the conversation helpful https://t.co/qGQ3yLGDpm
I just had an incredible encounter. Our doorbell rang, so I opened the window to look below to the front stoop.
When I saw a man delivering food, I called out to him, letting him know it must be for our neighbors downstairs. This, so far, is normal.
Been living without carpet for over a week. @Lowes sent a message saying it would be delivered last week, so we prepped. Daily convos since and no one can tell us when to expect it. So this is my new normal. Better than my bedroom...where all the furniture now lives. 🤪
