Today, the EHRC guidance comes into force in most of the UK. It reflects the law. Despite years of denial, confusion and political campaigning, the law has always been clear: biological sex is the foundation on which women’s safety, privacy and dignity are protected.

This is a good day for women.

For others, today will be an unwelcome reminder that they were sold a lie. They were told they were born in the wrong body. They were told they could change sex. They were told that if they identified as the opposite sex, the law would recognise them as such and grant them access to opposite sex-based rights and protections.

None of that was true.

Too many activists, charities, healthcare professionals, public bodies, friends, family and organisations such as Stonewall chose ideology over reality. Rather than telling people the truth, they reinforced beliefs that were never grounded in biological reality or reflected in law. Instead of challenging impossible claims, they encouraged them.

The people who believed those claims deserved honesty. Instead, they were given false hope and expectations that could never be met.

The responsibility for that does not lie with women defending their rights, nor with the courts for applying the law as Parliament intended. It lies with those who spent years insisting that feelings could override biological reality, and who attacked anyone who dared to say otherwise.

Today is a victory for truth, for the rule of law, and for women. Those who spent years misleading vulnerable people should finally be held accountable.

“You don’t want trans people to exist.”

What does that even mean?

It’s one of the most intellectually bankrupt slogans in this debate. It isn’t an argument because it doesn’t actually mean anything. Does “exist” mean being alive? Walking down the street? Holding a job? Having friends? Nobody can explain it because it is deliberately vague.

Women asking for safety, privacy and dignity in female-only spaces are not questioning anyone’s existence. We are saying that biological sex matters where the law recognises single-sex spaces and services. Those are two entirely different things.

This slogan exists for one reason: to paint women as hateful instead of answering the question we’ve actually asked. It’s an attempt to shame women into silence rather than engage with the substance of our concerns.

We’ve heard exactly this kind of empty rhetoric on the likes of BBC Radio this week. Public debate deserves better than meaningless slogans designed to avoid the real issue.

Life has a strange sense of humour sometimes.

As many of you will know, @jk_rowling recently offered her support to women in Northern Ireland standing up for their sex-based rights.

This week, my sister was at the dump in Belfast when she spotted this copy of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince beside a pile of rubbish.

It seems J.K. Rowling has ruffled a few feathers.

Thankfully, my sister is very much a “waste not, want not” kind of woman. She rescued it and gifted it to me.

To whoever dumped it… it landed right in the hands of a member of WRN NI. Thank you for your donation. It has found a forever TERF home and will be cherished accordingly. 🤣📚

It firmly supports our perspective that no one should be silenced or discriminated against because they have sex realist views.

It clarifies some very important points:

1. The Fair Employment and Treatment (Northern Ireland) Order 1998 (‘FETO’) "prohibits discrimination and harassment against employees" and "service users on the grounds of the protected religious beliefs or political opinions that they hold, do not hold, or express."

2. It is "misleading and wrong" to suggest that "people who hold protected ‘gender critical beliefs'...are not entitled to hold those beliefs or should not be able to express them...".

3. It has been recognised in NI that "...‘gender critical beliefs’ were a protected ‘political opinion’ for the purposes of an employment-related claim under FETO." Thanks to Sara's case @SeeRedWoman1

4. "Employers and service providers should be...supported to ensure that their policies...are operating in a way that affords everyone dignity while at work or accessing services."

That’s a wrap for our puberty blockers hearing.

Judgment will be handed down at the Royal Courts of Justice at 2pm this Friday.

In that judgment, it will be decided whether we have permission to proceed to a full judicial review and whether our application to block recruitment of children has succeeded.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far. Keeping everything crossed that justice and child safeguarding are upheld.

I am disappointed but not surprised that the men of the Feile team took to social media to gloat and crow about their intransigence. There was no win for them and representing it that way is disingenuous.

WRN wished for Feile to WANT to reinstate our panel discussion rather than be FORCED to.

However despite cancelling our event, Feile provided us with a platform far bigger than merely west Belfast to get our message heard across Northern Ireland and further afield. Conversations about whether women have the right to speak openly and honestly, about whether a publicly funded organisation - regardless of its origins - should ensure it represents ALL lawful viewpoints and experiences, and demonstrate for the world to see just exactly who is trying to marginalise who here.

Who knew women were such a threat!

Nicola Sturgeon has a terrible track record when it comes to women’s rights.

Under her leadership a male rapist was housed in the female prison estate. Sturgeon was unable to sustain her ideology under close questioning from a UK reporter. This seriously damaged her reputation.

It was not the only scandal that Sturgeon was involved in either. Campervan Gate for example.

Will she be asked about such things during this interview or will it just be a soft ball interview?

Time will tell.

You see the thing is nothing is going to change the minds of the tiny group of woke elite in Belfast. Not a million posts on X or dragging them through the courts.
