A great afternoon with Bristol North West’s very own @Olympics silver medalist, Izzy Thorpe, at @STB_Bristol.
We spoke about how she became a synchronised swimmer, what you can learn from failure and what it was like in Paris.
An inspiration to lots of us!
I’m thrilled the Prime Minister has asked me to serve as his Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
I can’t wait to get to work with the Chancellor and the rest of the Cabinet to turn the page and rebuild Britain.
🇬🇧
The last Labour government changed my life.
Let’s do it again for the next generation.
Vote for change on July 4th.
Vote Labour.
My Bristol North West election campaign message 👇
Last year, I held a Bristol North West constituency assembly.
I’ve since held 12 village halls to hear what local people love about their local community.
We produced a film - connecting modern issues with the history of local communities - which premiered last night! 🍿 🎥
The Tories keep telling us everything is great.
But people are calling out for change.
Because after 13 years in power, it’s clear the Tories have failed.
Our changed Labour Party has a long term plan to turn the country around.
Let’s get on with the election.
👇
The Tories say:
📈Tax is down, when it’s actually up
📉The economy is growing, when it’s projected to flatline
💷Inflation is sorted, when the cost of living crisis is still here.
And yet Tory MPs had the audacity to find it funny (watch until the end).
👇
Off the back of my constituency assembly, I’m hosting a series of discussions across Bristol NW in the coming months.
“It takes a village” builds on our local history and looks to the future.
If you’re a constituent, come along to your local event 👇

🚍Buses are important, but they don't get much news coverage.
🪧When I ask people what the top problems are in Bristol, transport always comes up.
🗣️That's why I asked local people to record their journeys on my 'Better Buses or Bust' survey.
📰Here's the results:
