AEDs (defibrillators) are simple to use and could save a life. Anyone can use one, it will guide you step-by-step and it will only deliver a shock if a person needs it. AEDs are safe, there is no need to be afraid of using one! #WorldRestartAHeart https://t.co/UquULSC1T3
@BanffNP@ParksCanada did I see “The Boss” last week or is this another beautiful wanderer? I know he’s been in the area, this was Oct 15 near JC on the westbound BVP. (Pic taken from inside slow moving car, he was right at the road)

Megan Snook was 30 years old and seven months pregnant when she had a stroke. Healthcare professionals told her she was just anxious.

It's berry season. Bear encounters are likely. Berry bushes border trails, roads and campgrounds. Black and grizzly bears are feeding on berries right now. Make lots of noise while on the trails!
If you see a bear, stay calm, back away slowly and leave the area. Never run.
Summer is here and beaches are opening, which means increased incidences of drowning situations.
As with many medical emergencies, knowing #CPR can help save the life of a drowning person.

We are heartbroken to learn that early this morning, Sgt. Eric Mueller, an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police, was senselessly murdered while responding to a disturbance call. Sgt. Mueller started his OPP career 21 years ago as a special constable, and was hired as a constable in 2006. He has been described as someone that everybody looked up to, and the glue that held his shift together. Our thoughts and hearts go to the family, friends, and colleagues of Sgt. Mueller, as well as to the @OPP_News and the @OPPAssociation.
We also wish a full recovery to his two fellow officers, who were injured while protecting their community. Police officers navigate dangerous and unpredictable situations every day, hoping to return home to their loved ones. Today, one of our heroes won’t make it home. This is a tragic reminder that police deaths are happening far too often, bringing the number of police officers murdered to eight in the last nine months – when one is too many.
Across the country, NPF Members, our Board and staff and all Canadians are mourning this tragic loss.
Evacuated farmers and ranchers should register at the reception centre identified for their community so staff can quickly help them and get them the resources they need.

Today, some of our colleagues are wearing red to raise awareness about women's heart health in support of @CWHHC.
Heart disease and stroke are the #1 cause of premature death of women in Canada.

A cardiac arrest is when the heart suddenly stops beating. CPR keeps the blood flowing, but only an AED (if located in time) can restart the heart with an electrical shock.
