The adoptive mother of Tony Hudgell - the little boy who was abused so badly as a baby his legs had to be amputated - says she will stop at nothing to establish a national child cruelty register before she dies.

Paula Hudgell has been campaigning for a statutory register since adopting her son, who is now 11….

She was told earlier this year that her stage 4 bowel cancer is now terminal.
