Varsity has played in 3 tournaments, 1 championship. Intensity and aggressiveness has increased on both ends of the floor and it has been so much fun to see. With some wins over perennial state tournament teams and close losses to others, I can only say, I’m so proud!

June is over and we have been working hard! 3 days a week from 7am to 8:30am and we’ve had a full gym everyday! Not being at Mayo HS due to construction, and relocated to RCTC hasn’t stopped us!

I talked on postgame about how today's game makes you proud to be a fan of this particular program. Iowa State was awful & rattled in the first quarter. Not great in the second. But at halftime it was like, 'How is ISU only down 13?' They just kept grinding and making adjustments. Re-gained confidence. Never stopped. The "culture" stuff is totally a cliche in sports these days but that's what today's win was for Iowa State. Iowa is a good football team. This wasn't some game you were supposed to win by 20. The Cyclones grew up a lot today and took a big road win home with them at the same time. I can't wait for the freaking Big 12.
