5-Day Banking is our rightful demand—let it be implemented without further delay! ✊
With 40 minutes of additional banking time from Monday to Friday, customer service will remain uninterrupted.
#5DayBankingNow : Better service, better balance, better banking! #AICBOF#AIBOC
5-Day Banking is long overdue. Bank employees deserve a fair work-life balance, and customers deserve a modern banking system—not outdated working schedules.
No more delays. No more excuses. Implement 5-Day Banking NOW. #5DayBankingNow#AICBOF#AIBOC@PMOIndia
The wait for 5-day banking has gone on long enough; it’s time to act on the commitment made in March 2024. #5DayBankingNow#AICBOF#AIBOC@PMOIndia https://t.co/raYfAwmlZo
Bankers keep India connected 24×7.
But behind every transaction, target and deadline is a human being, with a family, responsibilities and a life beyond the branch.
A 5-day week was agreed in March 2024, with bankers accepting longer working hours from Monday to Friday.
The demand is reasonable. The commitment is proven. The delay is difficult to justify.
Implement 5-Day Banking now.

The MOU recorded a recommendation for 5-day banking; we expect immediate government action to make it a reality. #5DayBankingNow#AICBOF#AIBOC@PMOIndia https://t.co/raYfAwmlZo

A 5-day working week is not just a benefit—it’s a step towards a healthier, more productive, and more efficient banking workforce. Well-rested employees are more focused, motivated, and capable of delivering better customer service. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia
Fragmented PLI remuneration undermines the entire workforce's unity and motivation in banking sectors. #5DayWeekandFairPLI#AIBOC@PMOIndia https://t.co/AgSNWJGIgN
An agreement must be honoured. A reward system must be fair.
#5DayWeekandFairPLI
The 5 Day Work Week for bank employees was agreed in the Bipartite Settlement of March 2024. Its implementation cannot remain pending indefinitely.
At the same time, a unilateral and discriminatory PLI framework that divides the workforce must give way to a fair, transparent and inclusive system for all employees.
Every achievement of our banks is the outcome of collective effort.
Recognition too must reflect that collective contribution.
We seek no privilege, only implementation of an agreed commitment, equality in reward and dignity at work.
@PMOIndia
@rupamsmail Customer satisfaction would soar with longer access to banking services during weekdays instead of cramming all into 6 days. #Approve5DayBankingNow
The time has come for Indian banks to embrace a 5-day work week, ensuring fairness and better well-being for their dedicated employees. #Approve5DayBankingNow
Policy makers talk about productivity while forcing burnout on bank employees. Hypocrisy won’t run a modern economy. Act with responsibility. Approve the 5-day banking week.
#Approve5DayBankingNow
A better banking experience starts with a sustainable workweek. With acute staff shortages and mounting stress, 5-day banking is about public service and employee well-being, not a privilege.
UFBU has been pressing since 2015; IBA has already recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024) records the Saturday holiday clause, pending approvals/clearances.
Honour what’s on record. Approve all Saturdays off.

A rested workforce serves the public better. With staff shortages and rising stress, 5-day banking is a service-quality issue, not a “perk.” UFBU has pursued this since 2015; IBA has recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and it’s included in the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024), pending clearances.
Let’s finish what’s already agreed.

Privatisation of Banks is nothing but conspiracy to loot savings of poor people in India.Due to the strong presence and public acceptance of PSBs, corny corporates couldn't exploit the banking sector in India fully.
