Jessica Bates, a widowed mother and devout Christian, is now free to apply as an adoptive parent in Oregon—WITHOUT promising to take kids to pride parades, give them cross-sex hormones, or use inaccurate pronouns.

That’s the result of a legal settlement @ADFLegal has now finalized with state officials. It comes after our landmark victory for Jessica at the 9th Circuit last year.

Jessica’s case marked an important legal turning point. For years, ADF has been litigating against a wave of blue states pushing Christians—and others who can’t affirm gender ideology—out of foster care and adoption. Jessica, who originally hoped to adopt a sibling pair out of Oregon’s overwhelmed foster system, was barred from doing so because the state put gender ideology first.

Jessica could have quietly accepted defeat. But she believed God had called her to adopt—and she knew injustice when she saw it. Kids in foster care don’t need pride parades or hormone shots. They need loving families.

So with our help, she stood up against Oregon in court—and her victory at the 9th Circuit was the first of its kind. It’s helping turn the tide not just in Oregon, but other states as well. Since winning Bates, we’ve seen similar policies rolled back in Massachusetts, Washington, and Vermont.

All thanks to Jessica’s courage. I’m thrilled she can finally realize the call to adopt that started it all.

The Trump Administration is working actively to help Russia to achieve its goals in the war, and hopes that it can actively benefit financially from the consequences of what will follow. The Trump Administration is also actively supporting the AFD in Germany, and right wing parties throughout Europe and the rest of the world, including Canada. This policy has been clearly articulated in the US National Security Strategy which was published by the State Department in December of 2025. AS THE CONSPIRACY THEORIES ARE OUT IN FULL FORCE FOR THE 25th ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11

All 19 of the 9/11 hijackers were Muslims — all Islamist Muslims — from Middle Eastern countries.

Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda openly claimed and celebrated the mass murder of nearly 3,000 civilians. That is the documented record, not a “narrative.”

These were not “militants,” “freedom fighters,” or “people with grievances.” They were Islamist terrorists, just like Hamas, Hezbollah, IRGC, etc., who weaponized passenger jets to slaughter Americans in the name of their ideology. Bin Laden did not distance himself; he bragged about it. The perpetrators were selected, trained, and dispatched by a jihadist network that explicitly framed the attack as religious warfare against the West and “infidels.”

Any attempt to blur those facts by soft pedaling the religious identity of the attackers, treating bin Laden’s celebration as irrelevant, or shifting focus to unrelated geopolitical complaints… is evasion. The men who flew the planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a Pennsylvania field were Muslims acting on Islamist doctrine, and their leader claimed the victory. That is what happened.

Durante los años más oscuros de la Alemania nazi, el teólogo y pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer reflexionó desde su celda sobre cómo una sociedad culta y moderna había caído en la barbarie colectiva.

Su conclusión fue revolucionaria y alarmante:
la estupidez es un enemigo del bien mucho más peligroso que la maldad misma.

👉 ¿Por qué es más peligrosa que la maldad?
Contra la maldad se puede luchar:
se puede denunciar, combatir e incluso legislar en su contra.
El malvado, en el fondo, suele tener conciencia de que está rompiendo las reglas.

Con la estupidez, en cambio, estamos completamente indefensos.
La persona dominada por ella es impermeable a los argumentos lógicos y a los hechos objetivos.
Si se le presentan pruebas que contradicen sus dogmas, simplemente las ignora o las tacha de irrelevantes.
Al sentirse completamente segura de sí misma, se vuelve agresiva y sumamente peligrosa al ser confrontada.

No es un defecto intelectual, sino moral
Bonhoeffer aclaró que esto no tiene nada que ver con el coeficiente intelectual o el nivel educativo. Existen mentes brillantes que operan bajo una profunda estupidez y personas sencillas que desbordan sabiduría moral.
La estupidez ocurre cuando un individuo renuncia voluntariamente a su capacidad de juicio propio.

👉 El contagio social y el rol del poder
Para el pensador, la estupidez es un fenómeno sociológico.
Observó que el ascenso de una fuerte estructura de poder (política o religiosa) infecta de estupidez a gran parte de la población.
Al integrarse a un grupo o adoptar ciegamente una ideología, el individuo sacrifica su independencia interior.

En este estado, la persona ya no piensa por sí misma:
se convierte en un repetidor de eslóganes, consignas y narrativas prefabricadas.
Al delegar su conciencia al colectivo, se transforma en una herramienta dócil capaz de cometer o justificar las mayores atrocidades sin experimentar remordimiento alguno.

👉 La conclusión de Bonhoeffer
La estupidez no se cura con más instrucción o datos, sino con un acto de liberación interna y coraje moral.
Hasta que el individuo no recupere la valentía de examinar sus ideas de forma autónoma y de tolerar la incomodidad de contradecir a su propio grupo, seguirá atrapado en este peligroso letargo.

On évoque de plus en plus le manque de vocabulaire des élèves à l’école. Mais c’est beaucoup plus sérieux. Être triste, déçu, humilié, mélancolique, inquiet, honteux ou désabusé n’est pas sept variantes d’une même émotion. Ce sont des expériences différentes, et les mots nous permettent précisément de les distinguer.
C’est ce que nous appelons en sciences cognitives la « granularité émotionnelle ». Sans déterminer à lui seul nos émotions, le vocabulaire est un instrument privilégié pour les identifier, les différencier et les communiquer. Un enfant qui ne dispose que d’un lexique limité à « bien », « mal », « j’aime » ou « je n’aime pas » ne ressent pas moins d’émotions qu’un autre ; il possède seulement moins de mots pour comprendre pourquoi il souffre, ce qui l’inquiète, ce qui l’humilie ou pour l’expliquer aux autres.
Or, c’est à cela que sert la littérature. Elle ne nous raconte pas seulement des histoires, elle nous apprend aussi qu’un regret n’est pas un remords, que la jalousie n’est pas l’envie, que la solitude n’est pas l’abandon. Elle donne un nom à des nuances que nous éprouvons parfois sans parvenir à les formuler.
C’est pourquoi simplifier les textes destinés aux élèves est une étrange manière de vouloir les aider. Lorsqu’on remplace un mot jugé difficile par un autre plus courant au lieu de l’enseigner, on n’allège pas seulement une phrase, on efface une distinction que l’enfant aurait pu apprendre à faire.

The first Drone Deal with a country in the Americas will be with Canada. In Alberta, together with Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, we looked at the drones that will be among the first to be used under this agreement. Canada is ready to place large orders, and 30% of the production will be transferred to Ukraine.

Un anno fa veniva ucciso Charlie Kirk. Aveva appena 31 anni ed era, ancora una volta, in mezzo ai giovani, in un’università, a fare quello che aveva scelto di fare per tutta la sua vita pubblica: confrontarsi, discutere, difendere le proprie idee.

Charlie aveva fatto della fede, della libertà di parola e del confronto la propria cifra. Era un cristiano convinto, un marito, un padre, un ragazzo capace di parlare a una generazione intera senza sottrarsi mai al dibattito, anche con chi la pensava in modo opposto.

È stato assassinato proprio mentre esercitava quella libertà.

A un anno di distanza, il modo migliore per ricordarlo è non lasciare che prevalga l’odio che ha cercato di zittirlo. Continuare a credere che le idee si affrontano con altre idee, che il dissenso non è un nemico da eliminare e che la fede può essere vissuta senza paura e senza vergogna.

Charlie Kirk non c’è più. Ma ciò per cui ha vissuto continua a parlare.
