“We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there's nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all.” —Oswald Chambers, born #OnThisDay in 1874.
Today my daughter @CissieGLynch and I were in Venezuela with our @SamaritansPurse team, who are there responding in the aftermath of twin earthquakes that killed more than 5,000 people and destroyed so much—building after building is reduced to rubble and dust. These people are surrounded by so much death and devastation. Our team is doing an absolutely incredible job helping as many as we can through our Emergency Field Hospital, water projects, distribution of relief goods, family tents, and more—all in Jesus’ Name. I spoke with one pastor today who lost three members of his congregation in the quakes, and he is out there helping his community. It’s going to take years for this region to recover—please pray for the people of Venezuela.
I was surprised and saddened to learn that Senator Lindsey Graham passed away yesterday. He had just been to Ukraine and was scheduled to be interviewed on @NBC@MeetThePress this morning. Only God knows the number of our days on this earth.
Before serving in the U.S. Senate for more than 20 years, he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. He also served 33 years in the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, retiring as a colonel in 2015. Please pray for Senator Graham’s family, especially for his sister Darline, who he helped raise when their parents both passed away. He was known as a strong fighter for his state of SC and his country, and he will be greatly missed.
Americans should never have to live in fear that foreign sex predators — shielded from deportation by their own elected officials — could endanger them or their children.
Vang has now been removed from our country and will never pose a threat to any American ever again.
Based on the evidence presented in court, it seems pretty clear that Tyler Robinson is a murderer. Leave Charlie's family alone and give them the peace and justice they have long deserved.
Short hair can be wild with magic hands from a talented stylist 😎😎 @XFashion My agent at that time said this is not a look for a woman in her 70s. That’s why he is a former agent🤣
Changing your looks will be in my new book coming out in September.

The country can be changed.
A state can be changed.
A family can be changed.
A person can be changed.
You can be changed."

Before I met Erika after starting at TPUSA, everyone who talked about her used the same word to describe her: "angel."
About four weeks after I joined, I finally met her. Before I could even introduce myself, she knew exactly who I was. She told me she'd been wanting to meet me, had heard wonderful things about me, and that she and Charlie were so happy I'd joined the team.
People who had known Charlie long before he married Erika would always say the same thing: she changed him for the better. He was happier, stronger, and better at everything because of her.
Then I saw it for myself. Working closely with Charlie, I was exposed to them as a couple a lot, because she was in the office with us often. They lifted each other up and were each other’s biggest cheerleader.
When I got pregnant, no one helped me more than Erika. She answered every question I had, sent me lists of what I needed, told me what I could skip, and shared so much wisdom that made everything less overwhelming.
After Charlie died, life became so chaotic that I fell behind preparing for the baby. One day Erika asked if I had a crib yet. I told her I didn't.
She said, "I want you to have the crib Charlie and I bought for our third baby. We were hoping to be pregnant soon, and I found one I loved. I want it to go to someone special. Charlie and I were so happy you're expecting."
That's who Erika is.
She is one of the most selfless people I've ever known. She always puts others before herself, even while carrying unimaginable grief.
My heart will always hurt for her having known the way she loved Charlie. She truly is an angel.

The blue ones that you probably didn't even notice... are the ones being actively investigated.
The Renewed Hope Act just became law, which will hire 200+ additional analysts to identify these boys and girls.
Good is fighting back.
But this isn't finished.
There's still a lot more work to do — and we won't stop until every boy and girl is identified and protected.
