@MikeyPB@nazirafzal Mind you it has been a couple of years since I had to check the licence of someone leaving prison.
And perhaps if he is convicted of his anti-terrorism charge that may impact his release date?
@MikeyPB@nazirafzal He’ll be out on licence after 9 months (minus any days spent on remand for that offence) and will probably get fitted with an electronic tag for the remaining 9 months as he will be deemed a flight risk.
@Tommyw45987258@MikeyPB@nazirafzal I don't think it will be that easy. It will depend on the probation service & if they are confident they will be able to keep in contact with him. He's not a foreign national is he? If he was he would be deported.
@Kazuoishiguro09
Oh my goodness
We have just watched "Living" (2022) and as much as we knew it was not an Ishiguro story, it screamed with your . . . beauty!
@bill_nighyy was superb
Thank you to all involved in the production (and Tolstoy et al) it's a film we will come back to
I find NATO's announcement deeply concerning. It seems to escalate tensions rather than promote peace, especially in a conflict that doesn’t directly involve its member states. It feels like NATO is overstepping its original purpose, which was to ensure collective defense among allies, not to interfere in conflicts across the globe. Supporting one side in such a complex situation only risks drawing more countries into conflict and could have serious consequences for regional stability. I believe NATO should focus on diplomacy and dialogue instead of taking sides and potentially creating more enemies. It’s time for NATO to reconsider its role and the impact of its statements on global peace.
Last day of voting today, National Trust members!
