@cloudyweatheryy The premise is wrong, self awareness isn't about quantifying your personality it's about accepting life and your(s and other's) circumstances
@pitdesi So it’s 50% more expensive than a billboard with 6X less hours of visibility and maybe 10X less legibility but their friends saw it and sent them a text saying it looks cool?
@gabriel1@_cat_turner This just avoid addressing the issue, getting access to capital involves having measurable and accessible credentials for investors which are often much easier to collect for people with capital
@gabriel1 You can’t be serious, having a parent who literally made one of the most valuable companies in human history can’t help you figure out what and how to build?
most self-worth problems come from judging yourself via the wrong hierarchy
human beings are programmed to evaluate themselves in terms of social hierarchy. that's a constant background process; very hard to override/completely ignore
instead of trying to fight that, we want to use that to help us move towards our highest selves. the way to do that is by deciding what hierarchy we want to be at the top of
e.g. if I'm working at a corporate job, the default hierarchy is probably in terms of position/performance. if I'm at an entry-level position, struggling to get things done, my self-worth will be low, since I perceive myself to be low on the hierarchy
but there are other hierarchies available. there is a hierarchy of "willingness to be present & engaged." if I judge myself by that hierarchy, it's very possible I could be at the top, even above the CEO
another hierarchy would be "building a beautiful artistic life". if I'm going home to work on my art every night, and doing that with serious intention, suddenly I'm at the top of that hierarchy, in terms of the people around me
the point of this isn't to foster superiority: no hierarchy is "better" or "more right" than other. but a particular hierarchy matters to YOU, reflects YOUR values... and you want to be at the top of it. that's what you want to judge yourself by
then the motivation is clear: take the actions that move you up that intrinsic hierarchy, which will also happen to be the actions that really inspire, the ones that reflect the person you want to be... and now your ambition reflects your values
