2025 CSK has been painful to watch.

The 2020 batch (2W in 7 games) and the 2022 batch (0W in 4 & 2W in 8) saw the worst starts to any season in CSK history. 2025 has been just as abysmal (1W in 4): in terms of approach, intent, team combination, form, strategy & collective performance of the players.

This has been that kind of season, where if one were to be brutally honest, every single player who’s played, barring Khaleel, Noor and Pathirana, can be asked some kinda question of. Be it for performances, strategy or even basic decision-making. Even the coaches, the auction strategy, playing XI combination, match-ups. Everything. That kinda season.

And while it’s disappointing & tempts one to be too critical, to outrage, to call for heads, I’m still going to sleep tonight knowing my team has won five IPL trophies. A team that's built on a strong cricketing culture, run by people who know the game that backs its players & and more importantly, know how to win, amidst adversity.

There are tons of data, many from central government itself, lauding Tamil Nadu's achievements and ranking it either number one or among the top.

I've never seen @ShamikaRavi sharing any data positive about Tamil Nadu. She is just using one ASER study to put down Tamil Nadu and gleefully mentioning it is worser than Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Just because Tamil Nadu is performing well, despite not being favoured by centre, how much ill will and jealousy some have towards the state.

Tamil Nadu model which balances both social and economic welfare, is seen as a right model by many. This includes overseas research bodies, international journals, developmental institutions and so on.

If centre can't encourage us, it is fine. But why use people like R.N.Ravi and Shamika Ravi to belittle us? When we have achieved so much in education, why target us and say we are worser than Uttar Pradesh and Bihar? Is voting for BJP mandatory in a democracy so that there are no targeted attacks on our achievements?
