I'm a North Indian and I learnt Kannada out of love & respect to this place & people. Karnataka is a state which embraces everyone whole heartedly. They literally learn English & Hindi for us. There's nothing wrong if we could at least be modest, respectful and thankful to acknowledge it than sounding rude and stern to change ourselves a bit despite living and earning in their state.
