📉 #USJobs Report – August Breakdown

August job numbers just dropped… and it’s not looking great.

Only +22K jobs added — way below expected +75K.

That’s the 2nd weakest report since #July2021.

#UnemploymentRate ticked up to 4.3%, right on forecast.

But the trend is clear — #labourmarket is weakening fast.

June jobs revised down again: now -13K net loss — first negative month since mid-2021.

May & June revisions = -280K jobs vs original reports.

Every month in #2025 (except July) has been revised lower post-release.

Even #JulyJobs came in at just +22K, with jobless rate highest since Oct 2021.

📉 What This Means for the #FederalReserve:

Odds of a rate cut on #Sept17 have surged to 99%.

Futures now pricing in even a 50bps cut, not just 25. Now even 25bps looks bearish.

Big revision due on #Sept9
👉 Goldman expects -950K jobs to be revised away — largest since 2010.
