🚨 It's been just 88 hours since the ChatGPT Agent launched.
And the Internet is already losing its mind.
Here are 15 WILD ways people are using it (wait till you see #5):
Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t believe in interviews.
Instead, he asks ONE question to decide if someone's "fit for Facebook."
It's so powerful, it built his $100+ Billion leadership team.
Here's the question (and answer) that discovers legends: 🧵
It's always special when a customer shares their experience! While perfection is a journey, we strive to get closer every day. Here's a video of a customer sharing her experience on #NamoBharat#DelhiMetro#RapidMetro#RRTS@NPCI_NPCI@PineLabs Posted as received from customer. No edits.
These kids sold a video-sharing website for $1.65 billion in 2006.
Then vanished overnight.
Today, that site is worth over $455 BILLION dollars.
Here's why they walked away from the most valuable website in history:
DiceDB's throughput is not 5x, but 10x of Redis, and it can do 2 million ops/sec peak on a 24-core machine while Redis' peak was 200k 🔥
DiceDB is also better in p50 and p90 latency numbers - essentially 5x better in median latency. If you want to dig deeper into the nuances and steps to reproduce the numbers, check https://t.co/gmoSFMuxgf and blogs on the website.
We have been able to achieve this because DiceDB is optimized for modern hardware and can leverage multiple cores, to better utilize the underlying hardware. Contention is minimized by leveraging shared-nothing architecture, and the communication is done via message-passing through Go channels.
If you are into Go, love high-performance systems, or ar just curious, do check out the codebase, you will have a great time going through it. There are a ton of interesting stuff, and performance optimizations to explore.
If you think this stuff is too advanced, let me tell you this - it is not. I and the entire team are learning things while building DiceDB, and so can you. Just clone the repo, run it locally, and go through the code; it is fairly straightforward.
By the way, we are eying one more optimization which is around reducing the blocking time during read and write system calls using EPOLL, and by doing this we expect the number to hit somewhere around 2.6 million ops/sec at peak. Fingers crossed.

Roy Fielding(@fielding ) once said:
I am getting frustrated by the number of people calling any HTTP-based interface a REST API. Today’s example is the SocialSite REST API. That is RPC. It screams RPC. There is so much coupling on display that it should be given an X rating.

What needs to be done to make the REST architectural style clear on the notion that hypertext is a constraint? In other words, if the engine of the application state (and hence the API) is not being driven by hypertext, then it cannot be RESTful and cannot be a REST API. Period.
