Terry Crews says there is no such thing as a natural
“There’s no such thing as a natural, everything is learned, everything is worked on, I hear a lot about rappers who go into the studio once and all of a sudden they never write anything down, but they’ve been working on this thing for years and years, all day long, 24/7, nothing but lyrics”
“So when a guy like Jay-Z gets in the studio it’s gotta explode, there is no not writing or not working on it, you’re working on it”
“When people see things that are natural, what they say is natural is just the first time you saw it, but behind closed doors it’s nothing but work, it’s hard hard work until it gets into the flow”
Quentin Tarantino says his biggest issue with Marvel isn’t the movies themselves, it’s that they’ve become the entire movie industry.
Tom Segura : "You love these Marvel movies."
Quentin Tarantino : "I don’t love them. I don’t hate them either. If they came out when I was in my twenties, I would’ve been fucking happy. But they wouldn’t have been the only movies being made."
Tom Segura : "What’s exciting about movies is usually the element of surprise. A lot of these films just feel like carbon copies of the last one."
Quentin Tarantino : "I’m not here to rag on them. My only axe to grind is they’re the only things that seem to be made. They’re the only movies studios get excited about."
Tom segura : "They also make billion-dollar box offices."
Quentin Tarantino : "Exactly. That’s literally my problem. They’ve become the entire representation of this era of movies, and there’s not really much room for anything else."
I think it’s funny when people say “Man this guy is ALREADY better than Kobe” I watched Kobe. You really had to be there man. You don’t even understand how good this guy was.
“They MANIPULATE our history books. The history books are NOT true, it’s a lie. The history books are LYING. You need to know that. You MUST know that.”
- Michael Jackson in 2002
if they’re lying to your face about things happening right now in real time with cameras everywhere and the internet at your fingertips imagine how bad the history books are
‘Oh my God, how much stuff have I not allowed myself to enjoy because I was in my own head — feeling like I was unworthy?'
This just hit me like a ton of bricks. Fuck.
Ryan Coogler opens up about his regrets while working alongside Chadwick Boseman:
"I was about 30 years old, stressed, completely out of my mind, sleep-deprived, convinced that the movie wasn’t going to work. I robbed myself of truly enjoying that privilege — even of sitting there and enjoying the countless Chadwick Boseman takes, because he didn’t have a bad take. So when he passed, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, how much stuff have I not allowed myself to enjoy because I was in my own head — feeling like I was unworthy?'" https://t.co/oGgX1mGonH
