Mistaking a Delhi protest for India's national mood is a colossal misreading. Cameras amplify the loudest voices while millions remain unheard. The streets reveal who protests, not what a nation thinks. Visibility is not majority. Noise is not consensus.
PM Modi gifts India’s finest cheese varieties to the Swiss Prez. A lovely opportunity to present Indian cheese to a country synonymous with cheese! The 3 varieties have won international awards.
When PM had tweeted about Gulmarg winning an award in Brazil, I was intrigued and called for it. Was excellent.
#WATCH | PM Modi speaks with Flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar through a video call and praises his courage, presence of mind and composure in how he saved many lives
The PM says to Captain Smit, "The whole country is praying for you. Maha Mrityunjay Jaap is being done for you and your health. Your courage, presence of mind and composure saved many lives. The country can proudly say that Indians are not those who take lives, but those who are willing to risk their lives to save others."
Captain Smit Machchhar tells PM Modi that he recited Hanuman Chalisa during the Fly Dubai mid-air cockpit emergency.
"whenever in difficulty, he recites Hanuman Chalisa", Smit says
#WATCH | Flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar turns emotional as he recounts his ordeal before PM Modi; he says, "You are my biggest idol. I feel proud of the way you are encouraging me today. I had so many injuries, but I told myself I have to get up and act. At the time, I told pushed myself to open the cockpit door."
@MichalMaayan He indeed acted very bravely saving lives of all.
Also, congratulations on your appointment in the new role as spokesperson. I still remember your UN speeches and find you one of the strongest and best diplomat. Have said this earlier too on another occasion.
Your “comfortable” daily routine could be quietly increasing your dementia risk.
Dementia cases may be linked to risks you can change.
The More Comfortable Your Life Feels Now, The Harder the Bill Later
That line sounds like a punishment, but it has more layers than most people care to sit with.
Staying up till 2 am scrolling. Waking up whenever the body finally gives in. Reaching for that ice cream for the third night in a row. Skipping the workout because you're too tired, too busy, or just not feeling it.
And it doesn't matter. Once never matters. That's exactly the trap.
Once becomes twice. Twice becomes a pattern. A pattern, repeated long enough, becomes a threshold. And once that threshold is crossed, the body doesn't ask for permission before it sends the bill.
Dementia is something we've long assumed was pre-written into our genes. Family history matters, no doubt. But genes aren't as fixed as we imagine. They respond to the environment you keep feeding them, decade after decade.
A widely cited 2024 research report found that nearly 45% of dementia cases may be linked to factors within our control. Fourteen modifiable factors, to be specific.
Several are quietly built into that "comfortable" routine:
• Poor sleep
• Physical inactivity
• Obesity
• High blood pressure
• High LDL cholesterol
• Diabetes
Here's the part that doesn't get said enough. These aren't separate risk factors. They're metabolic dominoes.
High blood pressure and LDL cholesterol can strain the blood vessels feeding your brain. Diabetes can damage small blood vessels and affect the tissue responsible for memory.
None of this happens because of one bad night or one skipped workout. It happens because "just once" gets repeated until the body stops being able to compensate.
So what can you change, starting now?
• Fix your sleep window. Same time every night.
• Walk for 30 minutes most days.
• Cut the "just once" junk sitting in your freezer.
• Use ghee in moderation and olive oil for daily cooking (If possible).
• Add a small handful of walnuts or almonds.
• Include fatty fish like rohu or sardines a couple of times a week.
• Pair rice or roti with enough protein and fibre, every single time.
Nothing dramatic. Just repeated, daily, without skipping.
This isn't about fear. It's about recognising that the comfort of skipping, postponing and indulging "just this once" has a compounding cost.

My honest opinion from the
Aerial view of Pune today.
> It doesn't look like development anymore.
> It looks like concrete has swallowed the hills.
> We built a skyline before we built the lifeline.
> #Pune #UrbanSprawl
> But the question from 10,000 ft is the same as on ground:
> Are we building a city or just buildings?
> Pune is no longer growing.
> It's exploding.
> Aerial view is beautiful and terrifying at the same time. @mieknathshinde@DrSEShinde@Dev_Fadnavis@narendramodi
@lakshmiunwomen@DMickeviciene Also, she made efforts to capture popular imagination through common threads such as language and other meaningful cooperation.
I didn't know that Lithuanian and Sanskrit had so many similarities. That still fascinates me. @DMickeviciene
