Seeing this and wanting to let people know cats with FIV can live long healthy lives and be just like any other cat. My current cat is FIV+ and genuinely you would never know. The fact that Bob is 12 and is both FIV+ and FELV+ is fantastic news for whoever adopts him.

They do!!! Dogs and cats often interpret us petting them as social grooming, like their mom would do to them. When they groom you via licking, that's basically them petting you back!
