⚠️ TW: Discussion of s*xual harassment, abuse & 🍇 allegations

Good morning, pack. I’ve sat with this since yesterday. I try to keep this account positive, but there’s something I need to address.

I’ve watched sister wolves open up about traumatic experiences after seeing people throw around extremely serious allegations of abuse and even 🍇 in relation to Valko, based on fragments of content for a character whose story hasn’t even been released.

As a survivor of s*xual harassment and abuse myself, I find the casual weaponisation of those words utterly disgusting. These are serious subjects with real victims behind them. They should never be reduced to ammunition in a fandom war.

I will criticise Infold and Love and Deepspace for cancelling Valko and for their lack of communication. But based on how the game has portrayed its relationships so far, I do not believe the developers would intentionally cross that line. The existing LIs have consistently been portrayed as respecting MC and her boundaries and seeking consent.

And importantly, what has been established about the livestream material is that it comes from Valko’s Bond story, where he and MC have already entered a romantic relationship. Taking isolated moments out of that context and presenting the worst possible interpretation as established fact is irresponsible.

You do not have to like Valko. You do not have to want him. But please think before attaching allegations of 🍇 or abuse to an unreleased character and story. Your words can reach real survivors, including people within our own community.

I will not engage in fights over this. If I encounter content that I believe crosses into targeted harassment or potentially defamatory claims, I’ll document it and report it to the appropriate platforms and to Infold where relevant, so they can determine what action is appropriate.

Criticise fiction responsibly. Don’t weaponise trauma. Think before you speak.

As we get closer to the 29th I just want to reiterate that IF they bring Valko back and make meaningful steps to address issues like lighting, free content, and dia farming, I think we should definitely reward that with goodwill. Taking an attitude of "it's too late, the damage is done" will show the company that meaningful change isn't necessary bc it won't get them anything but more complaints. We should be ready to offer praise, encouragement, and even money to show that their efforts are not only heard, but accepted.

Our relationship with any business is a two way street. As long as they provide what we ask for, we should be willing to reciprocate appropriately. What that looks like depends on the individual. But let's not be stubborn and refuse any good effort bc it's "not enough" or "too little too late". That attitude doesn't help anyone imo
