#SaveBehaliRF
Citizens Movement to raise awareness on Behali Reserve Forest, which has lost 58% of its forest cover over the years due to deforestation!.
New article in Zoos' Print "Journey of a forest towards extinction: a multi-perspective approach for the demand to declare Behali Reserved Forest as a wildlife sanctuary" illustrating the present scenario of BRF and its upgradation to a WLS for better protection and surveillance.
We are very thankful to Dr. @himantabiswa and Shri @ranjitduttabjp for their kind attention towards the forest of Behali. We are very hopeful this time.
A fruitful discussion was held on 7th September with Addl. PCCF, CCF, DFO, RFO and Nature' Bonyopran to upgrade BRF to BWLS.
Behali is counting her last breath !
Though our Voices, Visuals and Acts we are trying to reach the citizens. But it is not enough, not even 1% of what the forest of Behali has been providing us since ages. Please show your support. #SaveBehaliRF#DeclareWildlifeSanctuary
