This is difficult to fathom given the billions in found money this year in NJ and how little it would take to make our districts whole. We value ALL students in NJ should be every legislator’s motto. @nj_sos
@ChristopherBFay@KristyMann21@NJSenatePres You say that all the time, it *is* a zero sum game. But why is that fact not concerning? Disappointing? The State wastes money on far more ridiculous things than education, how can no funds be re-routed to this? NO kids should go pound sand. You of all people should know that.
No child in NJ (should) be educated at the expense of another. YES, finally! Not cool that NJ schools in the past were underfunded- but taking money from other districts (thus causing the same situations to happen in those schools) isn't the answer.
I almost forgot what a true advocate @NJSenatePres is for small schools after his bill to consolidate small school districts into larger ones 😂 Good grief
@NJSenatePres thanks for finally sharing your true agenda with #S2😳 I do hope these kids now have the supplies, extracurriculars, & smaller class sizes that ALL deserve. But can we stop pitting NJ districts against each other & start finding actual solutions? @GovMurphy@nj_sos
Sorry but the only good formula is one that provides *all* NJ students access to a thorough and efficient education. In alleviating the issues for some, you instead created the same issues for others- and still have supplied zero solutions. We're waiting @NJSenatePres@GovMurphy
The fixed flaws in the original #SchoolFunding plan allowed #NJ to correct economic imbalances that hampered our ability to distribute aid equitably. Each of our children have an equitable chance to obtain a quality education with our new formula.
Sorry but the the #1 state for public education doesnt cut millions in state aid to school districts during a pandemic-especially those that have remained open.
Mark your calendars 🗓️ for 1 week from today, MARCH 24, when, in unison with our @nj_sos cohort, we will contact our local #NJ leaders to inform & remind them how S2-based state funding cuts are damaging to our districts and children's futures. Read more: https://t.co/RVjk7WYN7f
Take a look! If you have a senior in Brick HS, Brick Memorial, OCVTS or if you work at one of those places or are a member of the Brick Township Chamber of Commerce then apply!
The district has cut more than 10 percent of its staff since S2 rolled out; this year, the cut is 19.45 percent of the 2020-21 allocation. https://t.co/1FYNVXAEXi
The algorithm is at the heart of the arguments over how New Jersey determined districts' aid and local fair share of property tax burden. https://t.co/LamhvzygKp
Please help Jessica & her family. Donate if you can & share the link. This is 1 of our families, EHY, & they need our help. 💙#EmmaProud#PTAProud#BrickProud Help Jessica and the boys recover from house fire https://t.co/wcUT298g7Q

@Mel_M116 I've heard similar rumblings. If its true, Murphy isn't ready to admit it publicly. From nj dot com:
"N.J. is not planning statewide school closure due to COVID-19 spike, Gov. Phil Murphy says." https://t.co/xW4PzvFetc
If we are going to call it like it is... maybe we need to revisit S2 and the Fair Funding Formula. @SenMTeresaRuiz have you seen the phantom formula??? We do realize that having losers & winners in education is WRONG, right? @SenMTeresaRuiz@GovMurphy@NJSenatePres make it right!
