So many exciting proposals from @lambeth_council
as to how to make the now permanent Oval to Stockwell #LTN work even better for all!
At first glance they look amazing.
It's consultation time so please send your feedback via https://t.co/OEMLGwZds3
Interesting details in here about attempted manipulation of last autumn's consultations on the Oval & Railton #LTNs
"..blatant efforts to stop the council from really hearing people’s views by swamping the consultations with over 1,800 fake responses."

Fentiman Road in Lambeth's Oval LTN has been absolutely transformed. New planting & SUDS, seating, bike parking. Looks fantastic.
Great work @lambeth_council @RezinaChowdhury @clairekholland
We interrupt our radio silence to encourage all our friends to support our sibling Lambeth LTNs-to-be in Stockwell and Slade Gardens.

For my own area of Lambeth, a massive 58% of households have no cars or vans. Since 2001, the number of such households has increased by half.
When petrolheads attack LTNs and clean air zones, remember: they are a declining minority. That's why anti-LTN campaigners do so badly.
Nationally, car ownership in England & Wales continues to rise - and no-car households to fall in number. But while only 23% of households are no-car nationally, that jumps to 42% in London (with Lambeth at 58% and Islington a whopping 67%.
Short thread: The 2021 Census data on car/van availability by household in England & Wales is finally out. Good news: Lambeth (my area) and London continue significantly to buck a national trend of falls in no-car households. https://t.co/6yqZUQ0iJQ)
Huge active travel announcement from Lambeth council: three new LTN trials to get going in Streatham Wells, Brixton Hill, and West Dulwich, plus development work on four new LTNs in Stockwell Gardens, Slade Gardens, Myatt's Fields and Angell Town to begin https://t.co/moa5oyv6Zq
The best way to travel around London today was definitely by bike.
Beautiful day and loved the short cuts through @SaveOvalStreets.
This was my reward!
Woohoo! 🤲
Looks like this - or something very like it - is going to become reality, perhaps as soon as next spring....
Our #LTN really will be permanent then - and looking amazing!

If you think people with bike cameras go out looking for people breaking the law, don't worry, we don't have to look, it's just too hard to miss. This is a collection of 5 of the worst from one single 30 min commute, featuring @RailtonLTN.
Archive photos of criminal damage to @TulseHillLTN illustrating this great piece by @GeorgeMonbiot on the way #LTNs liberate our streets & neighbourhoods
Spoiler alert: in much of Lambeth #activetravel is winning. Still a lot more to do here & elsewhere
