When we called out Brian Leddin's misogynistic Whatsapp Group on Twitter, we were blocked by @BrianLeddin @LimerickGreens @AnTaisce_Limk @AnTaisce and some individuals of An Taisce WhatsApp (supposed to be apolitical). @AnTaisce_Limk subsequently disappeared. #Limerick #misogyny

[DJ Walsh @dj_breathnach]

Been blocked by the Green Party spokesperson on social protection for highlighting the government record on social protection.

Been blocked by their raging misogynist.

Now blocked by their healthcare spokesperson because of what I said about ICU capacity.

🤷‍♂️

Every opportunity to speak, no action.

You continue to allow weapons destined for Gaza to fly through Irish airspace, Israeli war bonds to be sold through the IFSC, US tech companies to store data used by the IDF to target and kill Palestinians. Sickening and despicable, yes.

[Mick Wallace @wallacemick]

Netanyahu tells lies every day, why keep quoting a liar..? Israel is deliberately Starving an entire population, and every EU Member State still doing Business with Israel are supporting the deliberate starvation of Palestinians. They are helping Israel to commit War Crimes...

[Frank O'Connor @frank_oconnor]

Nothing says welcome to Cork City the safe harbour than this absolute crazy vacancy & dereliction wastelands
How this block of speculation & hoarding exists as one of main walking routes to/from centre Bus Station is beyond me
And no a lick of paint is not enough

What nonsense from a government minister today - saying Irish neutrality was being eroded by the triple lock.
The #triplelock is an essential element of our neutrality. We need to keep it.

Here is Paul Mason, an actual MI6 'agent' as defined by MI6 on its own website.

He is reminding us of his part in Corbyn’s downfall, when one of the traitors in Corbyn’s office phoned him for advice on the IHRA.

Whether the traitors knew Mason was a spook or not, it’s a very bad look. Only reinforces the position that these traitor former advisors should not *still* be advising Corbyn or Your Party.

Today I talked with @GarlandNixon about the steady move towards totalitarianism in Europe. What does it mean that communism is being equated with ‘nazism’ and banned? What does it mean that civil disobedience and political dissent are labelled ‘terrorism’ and criminalised?

We talked about the root causes of the attack on workers everywhere – the global capitalist crisis of overproduction and the desperate drive of the financiers for ever deeper austerity and ever more aggressive war as they try to balance their books and bring back profitability.

Our governments are targeting relatively small sections of the population with repression at the moment, and many people are turning a blind eye. Too many of us have not understood that these measures are aimed at the whole working class – they are aimed at preventing us from organising in our own interests and gaining real freedom.

The blood price demanded by this dying system in order to try to stabilise itself and bring about a ‘reset’ is enormous. Are we prepared to pay with our lives just so our exploiters can continue to rule the world?

I have no doubt the elites in the West find it all very amusing.
I mean these are the people who ate a mushroom cloud shaped cake after they incinerated tens of thousands of civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Next time someone says data centres are necessary.

Microsoft data centres in Ireland & Netherlands were used to store terrabytes of Israeli military data used for mass surveillance in the West Bank and identification of strike targets in Gaza.

House Democrats AIPAC led trip to Irael while still committing genocide of the Palestinian people.

⭕️ A child has been crushed to death by an airdropped aid package in Khan Younis, Gaza—underscoring what the UN and MSF have long warned: the method is not only dangerous but wildly inefficient, delivering the equivalent of a single truckload per flight when 600 are needed daily.

In northern Gaza, a man who recently visited an airdrop site told Al Jazeera: “People are tearing each other apart for [the aid], and the amount is so limited.”

[Arnaud Bertrand @RnaudBertrand]

Wow, 20 countries - including China (!) - are meeting in Bogota this coming week to declare “concrete measures against Israel’s violations of international law.”

The states due to take part in the summit include Algeria, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Cuba, Djibouti, Honduras, Indonesia, Ireland, Lebanon, Malaysia, Namibia, Nicaragua, Oman, Portugal, Spain, Qatar, Senegal, South Africa, Turkey, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Uruguay, and Palestine.

2/2 Shannon LNG is a private company which has a U.S. parent company - New Fortress Energy.

The Minister has until 7th August to provide the requested information to Coimisiun Pleanala.

1/2 Re: Shannon LNG
Minister for Climate, Energy & Environment has been requested by Coimisiun Pleanala to provide his views on current Government policy. In March, Government policy changed. Any LNG terminal should be STATE led, instead of by a private company. #Limerick
