Ymgyrch i achub cae chwarae Ysgol Gymraeg Pwll Coch. Campaigning to save our playing field for Ysgol Pwll Coch pupils, current and future. Fields not car parks!
PAC for next application relating to new Fitzalan High School development is live. Responses must be received by 4th August 2020. Lots of details... https://t.co/eNyPyR3DmG
@cat_colourfield @XRCardiff@AnnaMcMorrin@HETRA14 @mywhitchurch @WandTCllrs @XRebellionUK@GeorgeMonbiot Cardiff Council has placed all decisions on hold - and isn’t accepting new apps at this time. Sorry, I’m not sure if this has been made public (or may have been lost in the mass of information)
@cardiffcouncil Please do. Madness to have conditions on deliveries for safety, that only apply to some activities. Reason HGVs are there makes no difference to the safety of our children. Also, it shows a shockingly shortsighted approach. Starting with bare minimum to comply is not good enough
Gutted to say that, against 200 objections, @cardiffcouncil gave themselves planning permission to destroy our playing fields and surround our school with development.
@stephencunnah Diolch. It is incredibly disappointing & sends clear message that @kiergroup couldn't care less about us or the planning conditions. They spoke about a detailed plan... Which clearly doesn't exist and/or isn't being used. If this is day 1, what other conditions will they ignore?
@cardiffcouncil see restriction 26 below on Fitzalan High School dev... And yet on Day 1 there was a massive HGV making a delivery at 0850?! If the impact wasn't so horrendous this would be a joke. @kiergroup talked of a detailed delivery plan... Well that appears to have been BS
@MikeSpikeInker@HuwL1oyd@cardiffcouncil Sadly, that is exactly what they've done. We've been speaking to them regularly (councillors and Council staff)... Then silence... and suddenly approval and diggers onsite whilst everyone else is focussed on COVID-19.
And without delay the diggers are in. This is so upsetting. The fight is not over though. Lots still to be done to shape the development and protect our children and future generations.
Important petition from @SavePwllCochCae Planned development around the school will wipe out habitat and biodiversity that Welsh Government has promised to protect. Protecting biodiversity and needs of #FutureGenerations must take priority.

@RaymentJay @cardiffcouncil What is this?! Aside from the fact that photo is nothing to do with the campaign(!), this is little more than @cardifflabour lies and spin. Let's be clear: THE PLANS DO NOT INCLUDE ANY BENEFITS FOR YSGOL PWLL COCH. NOT ONE. THEY DO INCLUDE MAKING THE FIELD SMALLER & INACCESSIBLE
178 comments on the planning application to destroy our children's playing field, forest school and more... And 178 of them are objections. Thanks for your support, but this level of objection is because the plans can and must be better for all stakeholders. #welldone
