It’s been a rough year for SEPTA but we are so thankful to all the hard workers who continue to make the system as safe and reliable as possible. What part of SEPTA are YOU most thankful for?
I cannot stress enough how stupidly high transit usage would be in Philly if it just got a mild amount of guaranteed investment
Its impressive with what SEPTA is able to do currently with their shitty situation
@jackcalifano My number one complete about NYCT is the lack of seating in both stations and trains. I get it helps at rush hour, but every other time, it's inconvenient and makes riding transit a pain.

@alanthefisher Didn't read the EMU part, so forget the not wanting used rolling stock. Still, buying new would mean SEPTA has these for a while, and I don't think they want them in 2050+
@alanthefisher Mostly b/c weight would constrain where they can run on the system, they generally probably want something that hasn't been used in revenue service for years long term, and SEPTA seem pretty confident that SLIVs will be workable post repairs
@alanthefisher Also, in a world with RRR (which is far off, but given the rate at which SEPTA replaces trains, who knows how long these could be in svc), they don't make as much sense
@rone This is just so disingenuous and it's disgusting how you want to leech off the people of Pennsylvania.
Do you think your family is proud of you for this?
