May this new year bring peace, prosperity, and renewed hope to every household. Let us celebrate our rich traditions and move forward together with unity and strength.
Her speech trended No.1 worldwide that day — a moment of pride for her and for all of us. If it was taken down, we deserve transparency and accountability. This is about dignity, freedom of expression, and respecting the voice of the people. #Manipur
Again,Great going.
So who would like to travel at night thousands of kilometers away in an unfamiliar state which in fact now everyone know there's a civil conflict going on, and pull this type of shit caption for clout?
Who is this? Where is his so-called 4 feet long sword aka Kirpan? Why did he display his religion only on the Zudio store in Imphal and argue with Meitei? Was he intentionally coming to Manipur from Canada to run hate campaign against Meitei?
We respect the Sikh brothers & Kirpan culture. Lots of sikh stays in Manipur, but no such issues before. Does this intimidating action from two sikh from Canada have any nexus with Kukis? In 2023, some separatist Kuki groups met the Khalistani in Canada. Lots
noticed some mainland indians were criticizing the bafta award winning director coz she prayed for peace in Manipur on stage
it's her right to use her voice & she was absolutely right in using that platform to bring up her homeland
realty of vishwaguru should enrage u, not her
We remember with pride the valour, sacrifice, and resilience of our forefathers — especially Maharaj Gambhir Singh and his brother Maharaj Narasingh — whose leadership and determination reclaimed our land and dignity.
#TreatyOfYandaboo#Manipur#History
Today marks the 200th year of the signing of the Treaty of Yandaboo (1826), which ended the First Anglo-Burmese War and restored the lost sovereignty of Manipur after seven long years of devastation under Burmese rule.
With unmatched courage, the Manipuri Levy, led by Maharaj Gambhir Singh and supported by the British, pushed the Burmese forces beyond the Ningthi (Chindwin) River — reaffirming Manipur’s rightful territorial boundary. The Kabaw Valley was also restored to Manipur.
