@Revkin @tylerhnorris Oh, I see Tyler is an energy expert so this won't be new to him. Yeah, it's frustrating, but unless you want to invest in microgrids ahead of time (like hospitals etc do) we really just have to be patient.

@Revkin @tylerhnorris you could get a temporary inverter set up that allowed you to create an islanded micro-grid but it would take thousands of dollars and would be limited in use. Anything you hook up to a house will send power out to the grid unless you disconnect.

@tracewoodgrains True now, but I think the deeper truth is that stars destroy structure. Trump, Peron, Mussolini - they had such gravitational force that existing structures are either drawn into their orbit or destroyed. The right has the Federalist Society - an amazingly successful structure...
