Happy LGBTQ+ Pride Month everyone ✌️❤️🏳️🌈
Today has been hard for me. It’s the beginning of a month that meant so much to my Godmother, Treese.
This thread will be dedicated to her memory.
Still one of the best programs I’ve ever had the privilege of participating in! @GlobalCitiesOrg changes students’ lives through empowering them to understand the world and take action locally.
@heymrsbond So many reading opportunities for science! In addition to plain old, dry non-fiction about topics, you can read trade books or science fiction or science based novels like Feed or The Martian or anything by Michael Crichton
A new colleague I met this summer just posted her very first @DonorsChoose project! Show her some love with with a donation or a retweet 😁

@k8roulette2 When writing emails home (to student and mixed bag of guardians/step parents/etc) I write “Hello Team <student name>!” Started doing this Bc I had so many Ss w/blended family/mutiple surnames.
I just donated to Building Adventure to support @JessicaTilli1! Help @OutwardBoundPHL raise $300,000 to change lives through challenge and discovery! #rappelPHL https://t.co/YVgKiWFi6K
Great Story of authentic use of the design process with empathy… Kudos to these students and their teacher and congrats to the couple!
A teacher was pregnant. Students built a device so her spouse, who uses a wheelchair, can stroll with the baby. https://t.co/lo1PyXAiJ2
@billy_penn I worked at The Standard Tap many years ago and it was honestly one of the best restaurant jobs I’ve ever held. William and Paul are great employers and decent human beings and I was not surprised that this headline was about them!
@kmgill135 @JessicaFGWrites @SciJeanne Same, I use it as a conversation about science rather than focusing on how perfect it looks or having correct answers.
@SciJeanne @JessicaFGWrites Oh look! @JessicaFGWrites is on this thread!! Hi 👋🏼 love your book and would still love to see a companion book with enlarged photos of the original notebooks! 😆
@SciJeanne I highly recommend these two books to get started! The Fulton & Campbell book for your reference and the @JessicaFGWrites book to read aloud to your Ss. The kids love seeing all the different scientists’ notebooks.
