"The fundamental unavoidable reality at the heart of the [Israel-Palestine] conflict is that there is an asymmetry of power here. One side is the occupier. The other side is occupied."
Me, tonight, on why we shouldn't just talk of 'clashes' in Jerusalem:
Palestinian writer Mohammed El-Kurd says Israel is "doing everything it can to terrorize Palestinians" while Jewish settlers "can just walk around our neighborhoods, steal our homes and wield their guns."
Israel goes through a decades-long legal process to adjudicate whether families who have been illegally squatting in Jewish-owned homes ought to be evicted. Fatah and Hamas proceed to riot, actively aid terror attacks, and fire rockets. The international community blames Israel.
I'm so sick of Deep Concerns and investigations into the so-called "conflict".
It's not some mystery you need a PhD to unravel: Israel is throwing Palestinians out of their homes and land solely and exclusively because they are not Jewish.
That's it.
Zionism is racism.
