Our early cohorts were just a few hundred students. After graduating from college, these students have showed have become IAS officers, started Y-Combinator-backed startups and graduated from top 10 Business and Technical schools.

The average starting salaries of our students are over 6.5 lakh per annum - representing a massive leap from economic disadvantage into India's economic elite.

840 Avanti students will clear the JEE Mains this year. This represents a 50% increase in outcomes from 2023. What's most exciting for us is that 275 girls have qualified this year. This is double the number from 2023.

Since 2013, Avanti Fellows has helped over 3,700 students and close to 1,000 girls clear the JEE (Main). We have also helped over 600 students qualify into the IITs, IIITs and NITs during this time.

From a very early age, our girls have to fight significant social pressures to choose technology, leave their hometowns and find good work. What's also clear is that the girls who do - have similar outcomes as men.

Women who get a technical education and marry late have a dramatically higher chance of working long term and earning a good wage. Sharing some analysis (very preliminary but indicative) based on the periodic labor force survey.

While this particular data set is likely not powered well enough to answer these questions definitively, we see a lot of evidence of this in our work at @AvantiFellows

Our first batch at Avanti Fellows in 2013 sent 17 students to the NITs and IITs. This year that number will be over 500. More than 70% of these students will be the first in their families to attend college. All of them will help their families escape intergenerational poverty.

This also includes our first ever cohort of 6 Girl Students clearing the JEE from the North East thanks to the initiative and support of @TATAAIGIndia

We will also have over 70 students qualifying from regular government schools through online at-home learning programs in 2023 (a number we hope to grow 3-fold in 2024) thanks to the efforts of our partners in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh

This is the first year where our selections from online programs are higher than those from in-person physical teaching programs. Thank you - @TataMotors @Infosys for pushing us to expand online programming in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) schools during COVID 19.
