Saying TA is astrology for traders is like saying accounting is useless because some people can't read a balance sheet.
Bad traders misuse TA. Good traders use it to manage risk, identify probabilities, and understand market behaviour. The existence of people, like yourself, who don't know how to use a tool doesn't make the tool itself worthless.
The Tema Space Innovators ETF ($NASA) offers indirect pre-IPO exposure to SpaceX through a special purpose vehicle (SPV).
This is an actively managed ETF (launched March 30, 2026) focused on the space economy. It allocates a portion of its portfolio to private SpaceX shares via the SPV structure rather than holding them directly.
How the Exposure Works:
SPV Mechanism: The ETF invests in a pre-IPO SPV (listed in holdings as “SPACEX SPV EXPOSURE” or similar). The SPV is a well-established vehicle (provided by Forge, a Charles Schwab subsidiary) that pools and holds private SpaceX equity. This gives ETF shareholders proportional indirect ownership and exposure to SpaceX’s valuation changes.
Current Allocation: As of April 14, 2026, it represents 12.36% of the fund’s net asset value (updated from ~10% at launch). It’s the top holding, ahead of public space stocks like AST SpaceMobile (7.03%), Rocket Lab (6.79%), etc.
Why This Structure?** SpaceX remains private, so direct retail access is limited. The SPV lets the ETF deliver “institutional-caliber” pre-IPO exposure in a transparent, exchange-traded format. The fund is actively managed, allowing it to include select high-conviction private opportunities alongside public space companies.
Fees & Costs**: Investors pay a straightforward 0.75% management fee. Tema absorbs all SPV acquisition, holding, and transaction costs—no hidden fees or commissions.
What Happens at IPO?
When (or if) SpaceX goes public, the SPV-held shares would typically convert to publicly tradable stock. This gives $NASA holders seamless exposure to the post-IPO value without needing to buy shares separately or navigate private-market restrictions.
In short, buying $NASA shares today is the simplest way for most investors to get meaningful pre-IPO SpaceX exposure (currently ~12%) bundled with other space plays—all inside a single, liquid ETF. (This is not investment advice; always review the prospectus and consider risks like private-asset valuation, liquidity, and concentration.)
