“When the last tree is cut, the last fish is caught, and the last river is polluted; when to breathe the air is sickening, you will realize, too late, that wealth is not in bank accounts and that you can’t eat money.”
You know, while you're there, if you'd like to learn even more about hundreds of people unexpectedly suffering in cramped conditions in excruciating heat, there's an exhibit you should check out.
Grief Is a Form of Patriotism, Too.
This 4th of July, many of us won't be waving flags or watching fireworks.
Not because we hate our country, but because we love it too much to pretend everything is fine.🧵
People with children should be louder about Meta glasses. Do y’all understand that anyone could be recording your child without you knowing? And that footage could end up anywhere?
There is a cult of ignorance... nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’

Being an American isn't about your ancestry or ethnicity.
It's about fidelity to the meaning of this country - its revolutionary, threefold promise of political equality, economic opportunity, and personal liberty.
I wanted to provide a European perspective on the words vomited by a racist fascist masquerading as the US Secretary of War standing by the graves of the fallen in Normandy.
The 10,000 bodies of those that never made it home fighting fascism in Europe who lay where he spoke, did NOT die for what America has become under this regime.
He spat on their graves to tell Europe to hate ‘the other’. WE WILL NOT, but we will celebrate in the streets when the regime he represents falls, be assured of that.
To those brave Americans who gave their lives that we may be spared the tyranny of Nazi Germany, we salute you and we WILL NOT fail you and will NEVER FORGET.
My thanks to Tiny Husband for the clip
