This young lady would always come to us with her mom during our pickets to greet and hang around, she is such a sweet little girl and when I asked her mom on the first day if she’s in need of a space also at Addington she said no, shes only starting Grade R next year. But yesterday I got curios and wanted to find out why she’s not at pre school atleast and her mom explained that she is taking on a lot financially and she would love that take her to school but doesn’t have the means to!! March and March has kindly volunteered to pay her fees for the year! Thank you March and March today was her first day of school‼️❤️

On February 1831, King Dingane invited Piet Retief and his men to a celebration at his kraal, asking them to come without their weapons. Once inside, they were ambushed and killed by Dingane's warriors. Retief and his men were bludgeoned to death with clubs on a hill called kwaMatiwane. After the massacre, Dingane's forces attacked Voortrekker settlements, killing hundreds more. The Voortrekkers, led by Andries Pretorius, retaliated and defeated the Zulu army at the Battle of Blood River. The Voortrekkers later found the remains of Retief and his party at Dingane's deserted kraal and buried them. The original land treaty was also recovered from Retief's possession.
