Surprising some National supporters still see Erica Stanford as PM material.

Here's a video from her time as shadow Immigration Minister (2023) when she was asked the simple question "Would you have allowed Posy Parker entry to New Zealand?"

She continually deflects by saying what then Immigration Minister Michael Wood should have done, and refusing to say what she would have done.

It wasn't just this dishonest evasiveness that put me off her, it was the belligerent way she put it across. If she had just said something like this, my disdain would have turned to instant admiration-

"Listen Jack, just because a bunch of freaks didn't want NZers to hear Posy Parker's message is no reason for her to be denied entry. I would have let her in, because I believe free speech trumps all that other hogwash."

Parker abandoned her tour after NZ Police said they could not guarantee her safety.

During a speech at Auckland's Albert Park she was assaulted by a cowardly individual who never really paid the price for his actions. Then Parker was mobbed while the Police stood by and watched.

Ms Stanford apparently couldn't see reason to remark on any of this and kept talking about what Michael Wood should have done.

She should have been far more courageous. She's not PM material. Not even close.
