As at December 2025; Dangote Cement was owing ₦1.08 trillion.

Then by June 30, 2026: it reduced to ₦581 billion

This is just Dangote Cement: ONE BRAND out of the 10-12 Business division he owns. ₦581 billion in debt.

In 2008, Otedola was owing ₦220 billion when his business went bad and he had to pay off all his debts to bounce back.

Tony Elumelu’s Transcorp Power carries ₦30.69 billion in interest-bearing loans.

…and it goes on and on.

I know people assume that billionaires have it easy; but It takes a certain kind of mind to handle ₦1.08 trillion in debt.

Most normal people will FREAK out at the idea of ₦50M
So how are these guys able to act normal with so much debt?

One - they are used to it, they know their business can chest the debt (until it doesn’t - case in point: Otedola in 2008)

Two - They have the mental programming of a rich man.

The life we live is the receipt of the programming we carry.

If you carry the programming of a poor man, you will work hard - and still not get ahead.

Some people struggle to make 50M a year, some people can go broke today - and by next month bounce back to N100M. It is because they have the programming that made it possible.

Some years ago Donald Trump lost EVERYTHING he owned, and was dead broke - and then he came back up.

The same way you know how to raise N100k fast, somebody else struggle to raise N20k and they can outwork you.

If you show the N20k guy what you do to do the N100k, he will give up and not be able to do it.

The same way, if Dangote tells you what he does - your mind may not carry it.

I remember when i was STRUGGLING to do my first one million as a 21 year old, and then i met someone that used it for ads daily - and the fact i was near him, and saw how he thought and moved - the next year i did my first one million.

…and it was the EASIEST money I had EVER made in my life.

This thing is real.

The way to increase your programming is through proximity to people that have the type of programming you want.

If you can’t be close to them, read their books - listen to podcasts. But nothing beats physical proximity sha, because rich people don’t even know what make them operate at a high level.

It is when you hang around them you see the absolute beastry.

Some have it inbuilt, others learn it as the grow in life
