127.0.0.1 is the IP address known as localhost. It always points back to your own machine. No matter where you are in the world or what network you’re on, 127.0.0.1 means “this computer, right here.”
When developers test websites, APIs, or servers, they usually run them on 127.0.0.1 first. It’s a safe, isolated environment where nothing is exposed to the internet and nothing external can interfere. If it works on localhost, then you can think about letting others see it.
So the phrase “There is no place like 127.0.0.1” is a nerdy spin on “There’s no place like home.” For developers and engineers, localhost is home. It’s where things are predictable, controlled, and forgiving. You can break things, restart them, and try again without consequences.
I thought this was a joke and I had to look the at the forum post to make sure it was real. Why the fuck would BHVR do this? This literally takes away Myers entire identity as a unique killer.
@Fricking_Nick I feel like Sadako just got taken out behind the shed and shot in the back of the head. The whole point of her power is to be able to mori without hook states and now I get steamrolled on gens if the survs don’t counterplay her power? What even is the point of her now?
@DeadbyDaylight Reporting 1 bug effecting 2 characters. The bugfix to prevent Huntress and Victor from hitting through hooked survivors has caused both killer issues. At 1st, I thought it was only visual for Huntress but this change is also effecting hits registering https://t.co/gtTopWToxC
@DeadbyDaylight Im happy they are giving us a surrender option. I just think its to much limited. I really wanted to be able to surrender against a team i have no chances as a killer, like i already played 10 min, can't land a hit on any survivors, and Im just being bullied...
