Welcome to Scarlets Supporters for Independence, a group for any Scarlets who believe in Welsh independence from the United Kingdom. #annibyniaeth#ymaohyd
Hi! Welcome to Scarlets Supporters for Independence, a group for any Scarlets who believe in independence for Wales from the UK.
There are various groups cropping up around the country right now, with many people feeling disillusioned with Westminster and the Welsh Assembly.
In Wales, there's a much stronger fear of the 'i word'. It's been mentioned briefly before being placed quickly on the back-burner until the next time.
Slowly but surely, Welsh politicians & the public are becoming more confident with it. We must bring it back to stay for good.
An important note that I should’ve made earlier:
This group does not presume to speak for all Scarlets fans - only the ones who want Welsh independence. We are not officially affiliated with @scarlets_rugby in any way, but are simply a faction of the fan base. 👍🏼🏴

Amazing reaction after just one day! Diolch to everyone who’s shared and offered to help out.
We’ve got a few people interested in a meetup now, but like I’ve said, for this to have a real impact we need as many people actively participating as possible! ✊🏼
@Arlunydd @OLawgoch That’s two already!
As someone else has pointed out, one’s enough ✊🏼 one person and a flag can go a hell of a long way. We just need the belief and courage to make the first step! #credu
@NathanBox1 It wasn’t a massive poll, 187 votes with 68% in favour. This group certainly doesn’t presume to speak for all Scarlets fans, but it’s clear that there are many Indy supporters in the Scarlets fan base 👍🏼
@LlanelliYes @DailyWelshWords Chwarae têg - mae fy nghariad yn siarad cymraeg iaith gyntaf, felly byddaf yn gwneud beth allau’i, a allau hi neud y gweddill!
Another important thing - are there any first language Welsh speakers who would like to set up and run a Welsh language account?
I’d do it myself but I’m still learning (with @DailyWelshWords - anyone considering learning, their course is brilliant).
Let me know 🏴
@nopidgeon Good point actually. I guess it’s out of habit, but I stand corrected! The rugby world has got a lot to learn from the football (#TogetherStronger)
