Why isn't there movement from physicians to separate a professional name from a legal name? I earned my MD, published, and I am known in the community by my maiden name. Just because I'd like to have the same family name as my husband and kids, my professional name gets tossed??!
Hey @Apple@tim_cook AirPods have live listen feature w phone. Can you create update so the AirPods can talk back on speaker to the phone too?? It would be a safe way for us to communicate to the team outside the patient room while wearing our PAPRs inside! PAPRs are loud!!

@AlexAndersonMD I haven’t been on frontlines yet but that was going to be my cutoff. How do we decide how long too? 14 days after last contact with positive patient? Is separate room/bathroom enough? Same HVAC system. Go to hotel? 3 weeks in a hotel? And what to do as a breastfeeding mom?
So here’s a plea.
No more ‘standard’, ‘full’ & ‘enhanced’ PPE
PPE matches the route of transmission
- contact precautions
- droplet precautions
- airborne precautions
Use of this language would cut through a lot of confusion.

@DoctorDaxon Oooo good point. I assumed we would just teach RT on the fly or stand by ourselves to be the RT as well. I mean we’re all trained to be Doc, RN, and RT at once in OR!
