🍃Softcat’s community support day saw 9 members of the team supporting schools across Marlow. At GMS, along with 9 of our Eco- Warriors, they helped with the development of our allotment patch, built a bug hotel, strimmed a wild meadow trail and tided up the pond area.
Our Year 7&8 STEM Club tackled the science of avalanches this week! Using everyday materials like rice, lentils and sand, they explored the complex mechanisms behind these natural disasters.

A-level Geography students had a great time recently, on their fieldtrip to The Cranedale Centre, North Yorks. They carried out fieldwork investigations along the Holderness Coast & Hornsea and studied coastal defences as well as urban redevelopment and rebranding in Scarborough.
On 14th July the PE department hosted their annual sports award evening. With over 120 awards to give out, it was a fantastic evening celebrating many sporting successes throughout the last year. Congratulations to Sports Personality of the Year Winners Chloe Lee & Ashton Grant.

Fantastic news for our A-level Business students who, at a recent Young Enterprise event, won 1st place for "Best Social Impact" with their Cozeeco business evolution project. They also were winners of the "Inner Wheel of Thame" award and Runner Up of the "Corporate image" award.
Our wonderful Year 13's celebrated their last day at GMS with a Leavers Breakfast and a light-hearted assembly, expertly written and delivered by Mr Hollyman. We wish all of them success for their exams and future endeavours.
